The Association of Professional Translators of Moldova (ATP) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization. It was founded in January 1998. The key-role of ATP is to promote the highest quality interpretation and translation services in the Republic of Moldova.

ATP members are bound by its Statute, Regulation and Code of Ethics. They are highly-qualified and well-reputed individuals by virtue of their education at renowned higher education institutions and their extensive practice of lingual/ translation services. Members are constantly encouraged to upgrade their skills and to share their knowledge and expertise with individuals and organizations involved in lingual and translation services.

ATP membership is open to any professional translator, interpreter or any scholar in TI. Members pay a membership fee to support the ATP activities. Any professional is eligible for ATP membership if he/she:

- Has graduated the faculty of foreign languages and/or translation-related studies;
- Is a qualified translator, interpreter or scholar in TI;
- Has passed a qualification test.

The ATP Attestation Committee will attest the applicants' qualification through written and verbal examination, interview, etc.
